The Study Buddy and Chess Books group tournament starts in about an hour. You're invited to join the fun!
Tony,
Some of the books available to us (older books) are in English Chess Notation. It might be easier to start by using one of those, then switch to algebraic.
The main think is to have fun and be friendly. You're good at both, Tony!
hi everyone, i happened upon your group page today, being an avid reader i was interested by your groups name. as of now i don't plan on becoming a member, but i will be checking you page frequently. as for sports, i didn't see anything here i hope there will be more posts in the future. you guys have a good concept,...go for it good luck,...ppeets
Tony, there are a link somewhere in the group forum to some nice intro articles on some openings. I will se if I can find it.
PATRIC, I'D LOVE TO JOIN, BUT I'M A LOUSY PLAYER, BUT WANT TO LEARN
I LOVE READING CHESSBOOKS, MAINLY OPENING, HOWEVER THEY ARE DIFFICULT
TO UNDERSTAND SINCE THEY DON'T READ BASIC LANGUAGE. I KNOW IT ISN'T SUPPOSE TO AND HAS TO BE ALGEBRAIC NOTATIONS TO FOLLOW THE MOVES.
IF THERES AN EASIER WAY LET ME KNOW HOW TO STUDY THEM BETTER
THANKS TONY (antne003)
