Tony,

Some of the books available to us (older books) are in English Chess Notation.  It might be easier to start by using one of those, then switch to algebraic.

The main think is to have fun and be friendly. You're good at both, Tony!

PATRIC, I'D LOVE TO JOIN, BUT I'M A LOUSY PLAYER, BUT WANT TO LEARN

I LOVE READING CHESSBOOKS, MAINLY OPENING, HOWEVER THEY ARE DIFFICULT

TO UNDERSTAND SINCE THEY DON'T READ BASIC LANGUAGE.   I KNOW IT ISN'T SUPPOSE TO AND HAS TO BE ALGEBRAIC NOTATIONS TO FOLLOW THE MOVES.

IF THERES AN EASIER WAY LET ME KNOW HOW TO STUDY THEM BETTER

                                            THANKS  TONY   (antne003)
