Ivanchuk Wins 2012 Capablanca Memorial

Vassily Ivanchuk has won the 2012 Capablanca Memorial Elite tournament in Havana, Cuba with a score of 6½/10.

Ivanchuk went undefeated in the 6-player double round-robin event, successfully defending his title from last year and earning his 6th victory in Capablanca Memorial competitions.

Games from the first half of the tournament can be found in our previous report.  All the decisive games from the second half are below.

    Ivanchuk is a great chess player....he takes his punches and keeps coming back for more....he may become the World chess champion one day soon...great job man! Personally, I am very happy for you. I knew you had it  in you to always want to do your best for the chess world and yourself.

       Way to go Chuky!  I've been so enthralled with the Championship match I haven't had time to go over these games at all.
