Sometimes the moves aren't moves by a particular piece, but moves you do to a piece of your opponents.  For example, "Blockade" is conspicuously missing.  Also, for the king, take opposition, outflank and triangulate probably deserve inclusion.

Maybe "Blocking the scope of the __________"

I did this in a game I played earlier today and managed to block both of my opponent's rooks from moving to my 7th rank.

You forgot "fork" (usually used with knights, but many pieces can actually "fork" (threaten) two other pieces depending on the position).

Pawn:

Some good ones from the NAG list that I think apply here:

a pawn move that creates

  • Doubled pawns
  • Isolated pawn
  • Connected pawns
  • Hanging pawns
  • Backward pawn

I also like

  • Pawn Island
  • Passed Pawn
  • Connected Passed Pawns
  • Outside Passed Pawn
  • Outside Connected Passed Pawns

    very cool project, btw
    Amazing potential here!
