New Vote Chess Approach.

Submitted by PetrusB on Mon, 03/30/2009 at 11:22am.

Hi everyone, we are thinking of ways to improve the group and to help all of us improve our games.  One idea we are going to try is to approach vote chess a little differently.  We are no longer going to wait for a consensus before we start voting for a move.

We would like some of the stronger players (1800+) to give a quick analysis of the position, highlighting opportunities, threats and give there take on strategy. BUT the stronger players will NOT recommend a move. Next everyone can use the posted info and decide what move they will play and vote for that move.

After the move had been made the stronger players can comment of the move and maybe also on some of the other moves that got votes.

Bullshark entered Team South Africa in a vote chess tournament starting in April, so we will have a lot of opportunities to try out this new approach.

If you have any questions or ideas, please share it with us, we are always looking for ways to improve the team and to improve everyone’s chess.

Greetings, Petrus

You can join any vote chess match by going to the Vote Chess item in the group menu on Team South Africa's group home page.

Click on one of the games and join the game by picking a side. (Top right corner.)

Let me know if you need more help.

I think that it is an excellent idea. How can I participate?
