Phil Jagielka Out

    Phil Jagielka, the heart of Everton's defense this season, has gone out with a torn ligament, and surgery is expected next week*.  He was injured in Everton's 2-1 loss to Manchester City on Saturday.

    This injury will end his season and may end Everton's quest for the FA Cup against Chelsea.  We hope not.

* The knee surgery went well, and he is expected to rehab and play next season.
