Proud talaga ako sa panalo ni wesley. nung nakita ko siyang maglaro sa national juniors, naisip ko na magiging elite player siya in the future. sayang nga lang at hindi ako nagkaroon ng chance na makaharap siya sa tournaments.

Wesley,,, alam naming maiibabangon mo yoong naabot ni Eugene Torre v. Zoltan Ribli in the past... at higit pa roon.  We Filipinos can be greater again in Chess. Keep it up, and we are always behind you.  We are greatly proud of you, kasama na ang lahat ng mga Cebuanos.

The last game was a courtesy draw.  If they really played for a win, So would have easily triumphed.  But a draw guarantees the championship in group C.  You've come a long way So.

In the last Round (13), So's match with Howell ended up in a draw. So his score is 9.5 while Giri is still playing with 8 points. Even if Giri wins (9 points), So is still on top.
