Well, I imagine that got your attention!  Who died?  The Ladder House - the site where the standings etc. for the ladder used to be kept.  It was killed by the server because of inactivity.  I was planning on taking it down in a couple of weeks because of inactivity anyway.  In another week or so I'll also eliminate this group since there is no longer a ladder for us to play on!

I enjoy ladder chess competition and I was happy to try to provide a place for that to be done on chess.com - but you know the history.  Thanks for your participation!

If you are interested in ladder chess you might want to check out www.ItsYourTurn.com - this free game server has a large number people playing on several different chess ladders.  It doesn't have much in the way of communication or social networking options, but if you enjoy ladder chess it is worth taking a look at.
