Ratings don't help you find them!

Chess history is full of good chess players, ratings is not exactly the best mean to help you find who these good players were throughtout chess history, such is the case when it comes to trying to find GMs of the caliber of GM Svetozar Gligoric one of the best chess players in history born in january 2nd

ironically enough, here is a picture of this great chess player alongside a former FIDE president and the creator of the rating system used by FIDE to this days

notes: I hope you enjoy searching information related to these three chess enthusiasts specially information related to GM Svetozar Gligoric

from the left: GM Svetozar Gligoric, GM Fridrik Olafsson, and Prof. Arpad Elo at 1978 Olimpiad in Buenos Aires

you can find a two parts video interview with GM Svetozar Gligoric by following this link http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=EuropeEchecs&p=r

Gligoric is one of my favourite players.  I used to have a collection of his games, but lent it a friend and didnt get it back.  Not complaining though cause he has been very generous in giving me many good books on chess over the years.  When it was his day, Gligoric could beat the very best of his contemporaries.  Great player and underated.
