ABC's WIFE SWAP CASTING FOR A CHESS ENTHUSIAST AND FAMILY $20K

ABC's primetime series "Wife Swap" is currently casting its fifth season and looking for unique, outgoing families with a defined family philosophy to take part in the show. Families who participate in this documentary-style program are given a unique opportunity to share their beliefs and lifestyles with another family. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience that can be life-changing for everyone.

Each week on Wife Swap, the mothers from two families with different values and belief systems will exchange lives. It's an amazing family experience and opportunity to learn how others lead their lives. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. After making her observations, she introduces several "rule changes," where she implements rules and activities that are important to her family. It's a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach about other families and other ways of life. Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Fridays at 8 pm.

If you are a family with at least one child over the age of 5 living and you think your family would be a good fit for the show, contact us to be a part of this show.

*If you refer a family who appears on our show, you will receive $1000 per family.

That show doesn't just get shown in the U.S. - you would need to be careful where you shifted to, too. Wink

"Unless you are planning to move out of the country as soon as filming is done, then its not worth the humiliation."

To better phrase that.... it's not worth the money. You can be humiliated, and in time you'll eventually regain your pride. But to be paid to live with the shame......... you'll never know the meaning of self respect again.

No matter how sane you and you're family are, they will twist it to make you and you're family seem total nut-jobs. It may not bother you much but there is a good chance that a shaming like that on national television will scar you're children.

Unless you are planning to move out of the country as soon as filming is done, then its not worth the humiliation.

"In essence, ABC will be pimping you, your family, and the game of chess out for 3 or 4 months, or however long it takes to compelte a show. And you will receive money as well, just as a prostitute would for revealing herself in the most intimate of ways to a client. However, you wouldnt be showing your body off or even giving it away, thats even more respectable than what ABC will have you do. DevilD"

"Have you tried looking up the title in a search engine, DevilD?"

I hadn't, but theres nothing special that I noticed under it. Except what you would expect from a few feminist groups stating that theres something wrong with "wife swapping"...... can't say that I disagree.

"But hey, pay me enough, I'll do just about anything!"

That alone is the problem, and everyone faces it. But the degree to which people sell themselves or their morals or even their families, varies from person to person. You say you'll do just about anything, and anything involves a lot of things.

I'd do it.  It's only for a week, not 4 months.  But no one in my family plays chess.  Prob they would spin it as 'geeks' vs 'jocks' or something along that line.  Basically they make both families look extreme and absurd, its a dumb show.  But hey, pay me enough, I'll do just about anything!

Its in the title itself, not in the actual article.

Sorry Ryan, but I can't see a single reference to chess in the advertisement, while there are many to spam.

I'm not even sure what to say about this........

Other than it is sadly pathetic, for every party involved. ABC for pimping out people and their supposed "values". And the people themselves for having so little self respect that they would allow themselves to be portrayed however ABC sees fit to the rest of America. Becuase as we all know, reality television is not realty. And for ABC to say they will be giving the chance to share their families values is ubsurd at best. Everything done and said is distorted to the best of ABCs ability. So no matter how logical or sound you are in person, you will be made out to be a fool. All for the sake of drama..... and that is the real reason. I can't imagine what the opposite of a chess players family is, but i'd bet ABC knows, and they're searching for the perfect family to create hell with.

And if anyone would wonder why I would be so upset, it is due to this. How often have you seen in tv shows or movies, that chess players are crazed in some fashion or another. Always disheveled, incoherent, and mainly.... CRAZY! Rarely is there any normalcy, and again, i'd bet, ABC will not find a sane family for their show. As that does nothing to help their drama factor increase.

And with that in mind, I loathe the idea of a fellow chess player, or any person for that matter, falling for this rubbish. You would be selling not only yourself out, but your family as well. In essence, ABC will be pimping you, your family, and the game of chess out for 3 or 4 months, or however long it takes to compelte a show. And you will receive money as well, just as a prostitute would for revealing herself in the most intimate of ways to a client. However, you wouldnt be showing your body off or even giving it away, thats even more respectable than what ABC will have you do.

So to whichever chess player out there beleives this seems like a fun or exciting idea, think again. How often do you watch these types of shows to learn something valuable? To enrich your family values? I assume most people watch it for the shock value as I do, and nothing will be more shocking than to see a fellow chess player degrade himself, his family, and the game he loves by prostituting all of the above to ABC for Americas amusement. If they're looking for a sap, they shouldn't find one amongst us!

And that is....... my not so humble opinion.
