Regarding Team Matches: Hmm....

First off, I think it's great that we're a team of admins.  I like the democracy of it and the occasional surprise when I log in to find we've challenged another team (or accepted a challenge).  I just did a bit of a visual audit of the open matches, however, and in most of them...  well, we're we're a tad out-gunned in both population and ratings.  We are but a wee team, with an average rating of < 1400, so we should keep that in mind when we go looking for a fight.  When you challenge another team, you might consider capping the number of players at 5-15 for the next little while.  Another possibility is restricting the ratings to below 1500 or 1600 to make for more rewarding games.

Of course, the key to being less restricted is having more members, so please use your unholy admin powers and invite your friends.

Now...  what to do about the existing matches...  Lock the teams and hope for the best, or just cancel them and come back with differently crafted challenges?  Thoughts?

Perhaps Michael has a point. While I'm more than happy to be an underdog, and also to learn from a better player, it may not really be beneficial to the group to have three matches against "THE POWER OF CHESS" or to take on "THE PREMIERE OF ALL." I can scarcely compete against the ALL CAPS, let alone the 2200+ average ratings of these groups. Pick our battles folks!
