Some formulas to success

Study the endgames....It's weird, it's ironic, I know, but it's true.  It will help your middle games.  It will help you to win "won" games, even if you are in a bit of time trouble.  Sometimes it will help you to draw a lost game.

Review your own games, it's how you will learn.  The formula is, in order to get better and win, one must lose first but one must LEARN from those losses.  It helps if you keep a log and keynote some of the general concepts why things went sour in the game.

Tactics,  yes important, but here is how many people go wrong:  They study from those 2 dimensional problem books.   Don't be lazy like that, set up a board, the real tournament size board, set up the situation from the book, then try to tackle the problem.  It makes a tremendous difference.

These are just some of many ideas I can jot down, if you know some too, don't be shy about it, nail it up here....

Thx!
