Speed Vote Semi-Finals

Submitted by Billium248 on Tue, 09/08/2009 at 1:35am.

Hello Animal Lovers!!

We have defied all odds and made it to the Semi-Finals!!!  Now we face our biggest challenge yet - The Chess Nuts.  They are bigger, stronger, and better organized.  But we have one thing going for us: we're the underdog, so they'll probably underestimate us.

Remember the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Team?  NO ONE believed that they could beat the Russians (who were unbeaten, just like the Chess Nuts), cuz they were a bunch of unknowns (just like us), and yet, they not only defeated the Soviet Team in the Semi-Finals, but went on to win the Gold in the next round (just like we're going to do).  Cool

History is full of stories where the underdog wins despite unbelievable odds, so I don't want ANYONE thinking this game is unwinable.  Impossible is NOT in our vocabulary!!!

The game is scheduled for Saturday, September 26th at 11:00 GMT.  To find out what time that is where you are, just click on this link:

I hope to see as many of you there as possible, cuz we need all the help we can get.  Don't forget to discuss your ideas BEFORE voting, and wait until the last 3 minutes before casting your vote.  Team Work is ESSENTIAL if we're going to pull this off.

Congratulations Animal Lovers!!!  I'm VERY proud of you!!!  Let's keep up the good work!!

This is a very inspirational message to the team. You are a great leader. Its a good thing you didnt mention that history is also full of examples where the underdog gets destroyed, humilated and crushed by the heavy favorite.
