Tatiana Kosintseva Is Women's Euro Champ

There was a tight finish at the 2009 European Women's Championships in St.Petersburg.  Going into the last round Ekaterina Kovalevskya from Russia led by half a point from the chasing pack, but she lost to one of their number, her compatriot Tatiana Kosintseva (pictured).

Lilit Mkrtchian of Armenia also won her last round game to tie with Kosintseva on 8.5/11 points, thereby setting up a tie-break finale.  Kosintseva won the first game of the tie-break and drew the second to take the title.
