We have a team match against the Northeast region that we need more participants in. http://www.chess.com/groups/team_match.html?id=904.

Thanks y'all!

We seem to have three separate matches open against Team Phillipines. All are welcome to join whichever match their rating falls in. This is just a warm-up before the official matches start in mid-January.

Thanks y'all!

We had so many more members who had joined than the other group, so I figure we should start at some sooner point.

It could be that that player is from China originally, but lives in the New England now, for college or something.

They might still be in the process of checking/validating persons origin.  But you are right, if the person is from China (such as in this case) but lives in the US then they should register as a US player.  I'm sure many of us have non US origin but still play as a US player since they live there (such as me).

Noticed in this match that there is a non-american.  Just wondering if the rules permit players on teams that are not located in their region?
