Iran lost to Germany 0 - 4. The reigning European Team (Surprize) Champion is third after this round but will be worse after a 2 - 2 draw against Azerbajdzian

GM Akopian Vladimir will play board 3 against GM Paragua and GM Sargissian vs IM Dimakiling round 4 today. This one is really a powerhouse Armenia team, not taking lightly the Philippine Team.

    medotvrd:

MP is Match Points. A won match is 2 points, a drawn match is 1 point, and a lost match is 0 points.

S-B is Sonneborn-Berger tiebreak. This is calculated by taking the amount of match points scored by each opposing team (excluding the lowest scoring opposing team), multiplying that number by the amount of game points scored against that team, and summing the total.

Let's take the USA as an example. They have an S-B of 28.0. They faced Jordan who has 2 match points and USA scored 4 game points against them; they faced Lithuania who has 4 match points and USA scored 3.5 against them, and faced Venezuela who also has 4 match points and USA scored 3.5 against them. Drop Jordan's result. LTU = 4x3.5 = 14; VEN = 4x3.5=14; 14+14=28.

BP is Board Points. This is the cumulative score of all game points scored by a team in the event.
