Let's bring in the new year with a weapon vs 1.d4, the King's Indian Defense, Classical Variation. It may look passive, but once it unfolds you'll find it holds plenty of attacking potential. It starts off slow as it ignores the fight for the center and contrates more on king safty. But once the is tuck away into his castle, it's all about the attack!

    You're right. It's an excellent line against the opening 1.d4 and I believe if played properly it can win.
