" The Jaenisch Gambit offers very sharp play. Black is trying to take the initiative in the early phase of the game by attacking White's center. No definate judgement has been passed on some intricate positions arising here, but recent practice has shown new roads for White."
Marovic and Susic, King Pawn Openings, 1975
I have looked at the Janisch/Schliemann and found in GM games that Black is playing two pawns down in the ending, but with some initiavite (if not positional advantage for the pawns). This opening is in White's favor if Black cannot find sharp replys. Some lines are similar to the Latvian Gambit. Our players must win with White to succeed here.
I already am in one tournament and cannot play in another. Games with this opening can be found on Chessgames.com
