Good News for All Players on the GrayMatter Ladders
Things are going smoothly with the transition to Version 2.0 of the GrayMatter Chess Ladder. The beta-testing is almost complete. We anticipate making the switch to housing the ladder standings etc. at the Ladder House within a week: by November 9th.
What do you need to do?
- Read the material about the new approach and the transition here. That should answer most of the questions you may have. Note in particular the changes in how challenges are made. Please feel free to contact me as needed.
- Make sure you are registered at the Ladder House. See the link above.
- Note the following: because of the way Version 2.0 works there is no need for a 2-Day or a 5-Day ladder anymore and both of the existing ladders will be incorporated in the new, single GrayMatter Ladder. You will be able to have any number of ladder games going at once and they can be of any type (2-day, 5-day etc. - even Live Chess) you and your opponent agree upon. I think you will find that this leads to far greater flexibility and more dynamic play.
All Ladder games, of course, continue to be played here on CHESS.COM.
