That's a terrible comparison and you know it.  Besides, I think they could ban razors if they wanted, but i believe there is some stupidly outdated, and inflexible bit of paper that prevents them banning guns.  It's a very childish, and almost wilfully ignorant attitude some americans seem to take when it comes to guns.

well every religious person i've known has made the outrageous claim that their god is "omnipotent".  I dont think an omnipotent being that cares about our survival would have designed global warming.  Maybe this is why america seems not to care about/believe in it.  Maybe god was going to fix it on day 7 but invented beer instead.

Contemplation for an hour is better than formal worship for sixty years.- Sometimes I think that God in creating man somewhat overestimated his ability.

Jesus gave us an option to follow him. He did not force people to follow him. Obviously, the world has chosen not to follow Jesus. People have instead chosen to follow money, and look where we've ended up. The ice caps are supposed to be completely melted be 2050...

Jesus wants us to abandon tradition and seek reform! That is exactly what Barack Obama is doing! Vote for Barack Obama in 2008! (Sorry, I just had to say that.)

How about this for a topic:  The  whole  worlds  going to shit in a hand basket, what with global warming, starvation and famines caused by it,the coup de tau in the Bush white house,(see pbs web site). I could name a list of other things , but I will start with that.  Oh, I forgot BIG BUSINESS,S attempt to tell everybody that there is no such thing as global warming.Jesus, I wonder why that is??? Could it be the MONEY????

anyone like Lewis black, he is a stand up comdeian. Has had a few concerts on cable. Great political humor. He's mad as hell and he's not going to take it any longer. A cross between Mort Sahl and George Carlin

Hi Mercy, well it looks to me like you have just made yourself out to be a troublemaker! I'm not sure you will have much luck though. Whilst this part of the site is for open discussions and I'm sure many people will give their point of view in no uncertain terms, I doubt it will get to the stage where it will be shut down.

There are a few chess websites that allow this kind of thing and even though the arguments get very heated, they are still going. This is because the many mature minded people outweigh the few childlike adults who do not wish to discuss but only wish to disrupt.
