In the their Rapid Tie Breaker match, GM Wesley So played agressively and tried to create imbalance in all three games but wily foiled by the GM Vladimir Malakhov's great defensive prowess -- a la Karpov as many GM So's fans put it. Result is 3-0!

What a great day still, for So's fans -- nobody had ever thought he will come this far in the WCC. There is so much hope in the future and this tournament is a great experience for such a young man. He made his presence felt by scalfing 3 super-GMs and he will not be called "the unknown GM from Philippines" anymore.
