I started this group mainly because I have started playing the pirc, and there isn't a group dedicated to that opening. Then I thought it might be better to have the whole hypermodern family of openings in one big group. That way, we can all see what the others are up to. Who know, you may find you like another hypermodern opening better than the one you currently play!
Anyway, I have invited as many people as the site will let me. I would ask the following...
1. If you are a member of a group dedicated to a hypermodern opening, invite your fellow members to come here, or post a thread in the forum about us. I really want this group to get big, and have some good discussions. I figure we can play team and vote matches, thematic tournaments, and maybe even have an intra-group hypermodern tournament.
2. If anyone is interested in being an admin, let me know, and I'll add you.
3. If you come across a good article about your favorite hypermodern opening, or a great game that demonstrates the pluses and perils of hypermodernism, please post it, so we can all benefit and discuss it.
4. If you have any other ideas for things we can do here, please let me know!
