Hi everyone,as a new admin i want to share some of my ideas about the history group:

First of all i will try to gather some new members from my groups about Morphy Alekhine , Capablanca  , Keres  and also from around the site.

Second i will upload some portraits of old players such as Steinitz,Lasker,Blackburne,Anderssen,Gunsberg,Winawer,Mackenzie and many many more (hopefully history of chess has many interesting players) as i have already done with Chigorin:

Third with the biography-portrait i will upload and a game from the player trying everytime for his best and most impressive games..

Of course as the times goes by i a may have and some new ideas, these are for start.

Also if someone of you have something to add or suggest i would be very happy to listen to your opinions.

Finally i have to thank qtsii for his trust on me and i will try my best.See you at the group,Aris.

Hello!  Good idea. What about including some historical video photo montages? I have made several already about most of the players you mention. I have the Morphy and Charousek videos posted on my blog here.

Hello Blunderprone, I know your website well. It's been a big help researching the videos.

Best regards,

I will continue to do my part with my " Magical History Tour" of great tournaments. Currently running on my blog is Zurich 1953 with Bio's of the players. I started with thelast place finisher and create a post highlighting this player's ability at the event followed up with some moderately interesting facts of the player pre-and post event.

Events I'd covered so far:

London 1851 ( seen on my original blog in the archives: blunderprone.blogspot.com)

Hastings 1895 ( also archived at the original Blog)

New York 1924

Zurich 1953
