Whoa Horsey!

It seems the "Alliance move" was declared without much statistics. Assuming I came late for voting and my vote doesn't count...

Qc6 - D3V1L, ChuckBurch, Elroch, casmith_789, urvang, Valentin
Nb6 - savyma, ivan_the_truble, JRoyer, Ixodidae, dsarkar, IMCheap
Qa5 - alenkanh

Qc6 - 6

Nb6 - 6 (+1 if you count my vote)

Qa5 - 1

It's not obvious the "Alliance move" is Nb6 or Qc6. Winning by one or two votes is not enough to call consensus. Also, it seems IMCheap is completely against the queen exchanges. He stated Nb6 was "obvious". This is something Qc6 advocates should consider. O_O

As of now, I don't believe we have enough to call a "consensus". It is simply not fair, winning by one or two votes. It doesn't matter that we are in time pressure. Rushing this and telling people to vote prematurely is not going to help the game. I'd rather we get the best move and vote too late than vote early and vote the wrong move (which would also destroy our reputation).

The reason that the alliance vote was declared "without much statistics" was because it was started ridiculously late, not because it was ended early. I was surprised that no-one had even started the vote 5 hours after Pogonina had moved, and with 400 votes cast (mostly for Nb6), our choice was almost certainly irrelevant even if made at 1800.

Let's decide what times the vote will take place for future moves now, in order for it to be worth our time bothering.
