Anand's tactics in the game against Karpov were quite beautiful.

Jewishqueen -- what's surprising about the world's best female player competing with other players in her league?

I have to say that I love the fact that Carlsen is feeling better and is playing good chess.  However I am hoping that Anand will win this event.  Good luck to Magnus and Vishy!

Ivanchuk shoulld be at the top of that field it's so odd that he goes through the spirts of really good and really bad (relative to his level) play.

Polgar trying to take the King into the endgame was sad...a more dubious stretgy I could not comprehend...beautiful manevuering by the world's best as usual.

This is incorrect. Nobody has beaten Carlsen with both colors yet. Morozevich has scored 1 out of 2 against Magnus.

Morozevitsj is the only player that have beaten Carlsen both with black and white. But I think this will be close. Today Carlsen took 11 points and Karjakin 10,5 and Anand "only" 8. After 26 rounds Carlsen was 2 ahead, but next round he had this loss against Moro. Kosteniuk have beaten all three: Carlsen, Anand and Aronian in one game, and that is incredible. Took 7 points today. Karpov only took 5 points today and fall down from no 3 to no 9. I will be very nervous tomorrow, that's for sure. REMEMBER tomorrow 2 hrs earlier than today (1000 GMT, 1100 Norwegian time).
