The World Championship Match begins at 17:00 Eastern European Summer Time on Saturday 24 April.  As usual, the Chess.com/TV schedule is wrong (as of 1 pm US Pacific Daylight Time on Thursday 22 April).

In a 12 game match, defending champion Viswanathan Anand of India attempts to defend his title against challenger Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria.

Topalov will have White in game 1.  The color alternation will reverse at the halfway point.  Topalov will have black in games 6 and 7.

Again, the official site is www.anand-topalov.com

Let's all share our comments here at the Watchers of Elite Tournaments group.

jarkov, the first game begins at 7 am West Coast United States time on Saturday 24 April.  The remaining games will be at 5 am West Coast United States time.  Until various sites attempt to transmit the moves, I can't say which will be the best for following the games live.  The official site might be best, or you could try ICC or FICS.

I have been looking forward to this for an age. I don't care who wins as long as the match is played in the right spirit, which I'm sure it will be.
