    There is absolutely nothing wrong with dxe5, dxe5, Qxd8, Kxd8 for either side. It's not really dangerous for white, but the queenless middlegame might be a chance for black to get out of theoretical d4 lines and simply play for the point (or half point). Not something I'd play, but rather annoying to a d4 player.

    I find black may be able to equalize positionally, however they would be vulnerable because they can't castle. Once white castles, I think it's game over for black.

    It's my main opening with black. It's a good one. I confirm the stats. 28.6% for White, it's a pity ! ;o)

    if white trades queens then black will be ablr to equalize very easily even though he cant castle

    why is exd5 so bad. If black recaptures he will no longer be able to castle.

    Great counter for Black against the English opening -- even the KID.  We (our group "Friends and Chess Players") ran a tournament using it.  It was enlightening.
