1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 g6 =
Sicilian... My favorite!!
havent tried blindfold game
My fav sicillian opening
This is my favourite opening f1-b5,b1-c3
the first variation of sicilian defense i learned from my coach i prefer d3 though
ah the sicilian defense..
yeah.....this is openinig is mega old the most interesting vartion is 3.d4 cd 4.kd4 and g6!!!!but still if white knows the openiing then its bad:) i prefer playing 2...d6 cuz i dont worry about the bishop b5 cuz white need his white bishop for attack in the queen side so yea :D and d6 idea is so block e5 :D(leko calls it cheap hat trick )
My preferred defense as black. After 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 6.Ndb5 d6, I have a nice complicated Sveshnikov for white to figure out.
Games usually go: 7.Bg5 a6 8.Nb3 b5 9.Bxf6 gxf6 10.Nd5 f5. Very interesting games come out of this. Black gets a trio of pawns in the center, and white will play the inevitable a4 to bust open the queen side. Very fun games to play for both sides in my opinion.
I have played many games where white plays 3. Nc3 or 3. Bc4. The move I make most after that is 3....e6 (opening diagonals for my Q and f8B, protecting against 4. Nd5 AND protecting the f7 square... the weak square for black).
aa-
i have played with and against this opening numerous times because i usually start with e4 or c4. the logical move after this for white would be 3. Be2 d7. but thats just me and my logics O.o another continuation is 3. g3 e5 to go into an open indian variation but thats for gms lol
3.d4 cd
4.Nxd4
other 'exotic' moves are unusual because they are not so good.
I play 2. Nc6 largely because I think it's a better developing move than 2. d6. The latter doesn't develop a minor piece and is a lot less flexible in my mind, later in the game.
ahh the siclian defence
i would like to know what comes next myself
I have worked from 3. P b3.
Those fianchettos just bring a smile to this grizzled ol pawn pusher..
What is white's best response for this kind of opening?
what would be some examples of moves for black after this
Much better than d3, I think, because it's much more flexible in case your opponent refrains from playing d4.
