This game is a good illustration of the opening because it shows the many different possibilites and moves for both black and white.
Why do I see Qd7 used in one game??????????
Qd7???is a blunder
Why would anyone play Qd7 here as black???? Van Wely played Qd7!
and fressinet didnt do Bxd7 instead he castled and the queen stayed for 2 moves witout fressinet taking. What was going on!
great, keep memorizing. it increses your neural connection of working brain to that of your permanent. most of the masters 'd rather play Nd7
It's a bad move because a patzer says so. Never mind World Champions playing it -- wtf do they know?
Bb5+ is okay. but black ought not to play Nc6 in continuation as white can play d4 then
Why would anyone play Qd7 here as black???? Van Wely played Qd7.
Yes, Kasparov did play this in his match against the world. It is actually a viable alternative to the main line, but has a drawish reputation.
wow, i seriously cannot believe this was done. It is such a weak move! I love the Sicilian defense, very effective, and this attack does NOTHING to change that! Well, i guess the main thing it would do would be to prevent the dragon and other such variations, but still it is WEAK! Mostly inexperienced kids play this move, and they go for the early check but will get their bishop taken. and then, THEY get taken. Personally i would have countered with N-QB3 after N-KB3, working it into the najdorf (which kills this) and the dragon. Maybe even the Ross Variant. agreed?
Wasn't this the opening that Kasparov used in Kasparov vs. The World? It doesn't look like a great move, Kasparov actually took the light-squared bishop after 3...Bd7. Maybe it was a pity move? lol.
that is not check mate, that's not even that good of a move!
The game is OVER? It's a BAD move? You guys are funny....it's just a normal opening with normal potential.
Necessary move or the game is over
I think this opening not strong for white
wastes time checking
how is it a bad move?
