in the french defense, there is always a lot of tension and closed positions in the center. i play the french a fair bit and know how stressful and confusing it can be when everything is pretty much closed and games can lead to a draw sometimes!

I do not believe this will work, because Black probably plays 7... Bd7. I do not who has an advantage now, but it seems Black developed better.
