Drowning

Submitted by Amnesiac on Mon, 07/21/2008 at 3:17am.

Just some water photos I have taken, no photoshop or lighting effects were used at all. Just a small stretch of river and the sunlight and different angles and zooms. I don't know why but I have always seemed to have a link to water in some way. I have always thought I was going to die by drowning and often have dreams of water. Strange I know, but anyway, here they are...

Where isn't water there isn't life! You presented the water in a lot of form. Very nice.

I used to think that but then I wiped out surfing when I was little and found that for the first few seconds it is quite bad but then you just accept it and everything gets really calm and goes in slow motion. I was'nt anywhere near to drowning but I have heard stories of other people who have almost drowned and they have said it was strangely quiet and calm.

Those are very good photos. I'd hate to drown. I'd rather be shot or fall.

Thanks for the comments. My camera is a Samsung NV7 ops which is a small handheld and it seems to show light in a different way than most cameras. Perfect for experimental type photos and reasonably good for anything else.

Beautyfull pictures ! In my opinion it isn't strange that we have fascination for water: it is the most important thing for any kind of life and it has also an archaïc meaning: millions of years ago we were descending from life who came out of the water to live on the land !!

Friendly greetings,

Herman
