Snowdonia 1

Here are some photos I have taken whilst away in Wales. I took rather alot so I have posted over 3!!! albums but I thought I'd post most of them anyway as it was such a nice place. I did the Snowdon horseshoe, which is around 4 of the peaks including the highest Snowdon. Its only about 8 miles but its up 3000 feet and is a grade 1 scramble (meaning its not quite climbing but not quite walking). However the hardest part was Crib Goch which has a section called the knife edge. Think of being 3000 feet in the air with drops on either side of you whilst clambering over rocks on a knife edge. My legs were like jelly. Snowdon itself was rather disappointing as anyone can do it really, kids and even dogs and it was very busy at the top. On the other days I climbed the more non-tourist friendly peaks like Tryfan and Glyder Fach and Glydar Fawr. On that day I only saw three other people and some mountain goats! Those are the fog ones although it cleared in the end. I would highly recommend going to Snowdonia as I had a great time. It was supposed to rain on a couple of the days I was there but I got sunburnt on the first day and there was abit of fog on the other but otherwise great. I was quite surprised at the amount of people that spoke Welsh as well. For some reason I thought that it was dying out and that all the youngsters would only know English but Welsh was their main language. When climbing up the main peak I think I heard just about every language there is, I could only tell what most people were speaking because of what football t-shirt they were wearing, I even saw people using sign language! I only picked up a little bit of welsh: safle bys! Anyway here they are:
