To victhestick, thanks for the compliment and dynamic brakes retard the traction motors to help slow the train. We often use them to bunch the slack in the train on down hill grades. When combined with air brakes, we have more slowing power and ability to control slack in the trains.

To LasUnicorn, happy to be a friend to you and thanks for the compliment. I ride on the rails. Maintenance of Way employees for the railroad gauge the rails.

To Captjack, I didn't know Casey Jones personally, but I know of his story. He was a railroad legend. I rescued a stray dog last year that had been hit by a train. I named him Casey Jones.
