Magic Ball Set
My most...well, ornate...set. Described to me by the previous owner as a "magic ball" set. I've also seen similar sets called "puzzle ball" sets. Made from ivory. Each of the globes that support the pieces contains 3 or 4 more globes.
Oh, and if anyone has any information about the history of this, or similarly themed sets, please let me know. All I've managed to find out (mostly from numerous ebay searches) is that similar sets exist and they are usually said to have been made in the early part of the 20th century. I'm very anxious to learn more about it, so if you know anything please share!
