Rooty Hill Chess Club

Rooty Hill, in Sydney's far western suburbs, is one of Australia's biggest chess clubs.  The membership is multicultural and we have people from every continent except the Americas.  Well, Antarctica misses out too.  There's a very strong contingent from the Philippines.

I'm envious! I wish there was an active club near my residence.

Thanks, Mr Candyman.  It's a very active club but I don't get down as often as I used to.  It's 30 kms (about 18 miles) from my place and sometimes I'd rather just sit at home and play on chess.com.  Surely you have clubs in Atlanta - or is transport a problem?

Oh, and what a wonderful chess club that is.  Thinking of moving to Australia!

Hi Vertmouron.  You'd certainly add a quality we lack ... we hardly ever have a lady playing at the club.  But you'd enjoy the people who are there:  there's a large contingent of Filipinos who have to be the happiest people on Earth.
