Where I have Been

This is a train coming down the Niagara Escarpment approaching The Town of Dundas, Ontario. Years ago passenger trains would stop in Dundas. It is the main line between Detroit and Toronto/Montreal. Nearest stop now is Aldershot, Ontario,

Most people think that the Pope has always resided in Rome. However this is not true. The very early Pope's in fact lived and opperated in Avignon, France

The African Lion Safari, at Beverly, just off the Dundas/Kitchener road. You can take a ride on a bus through African Safari country. Seeing many animals that come from Africa, including Elephants, Monkeys, Deer, Rhinos and many other spcreatures. You can also drive through in your own car, but I would not advise this as the monkeys jump and crawl all over it. The park is open to the public from Spring to fall.

When we visited Athens, we had not booked any cruise shore tours. We were approached by a taxi driver to take us for a four hour tour. The price he offered was fair, and he did a wonderful job taking us around the city. From the site of the start of The Modern Olyimpic games to The Presidential Palace. If you are on a cruise this is a good way to see your port of call

I took this on a very hot day in Rome. It never ceases to amaze me how our fore fathers could build such complex arcitecture, with out any modern equipment. This place must have taken years to build.

This is a trip that nobody should miss and have that few minutes of silence, for all those who gave their lives and were wounded, "On That Day Of Imfamey" The battleship Arizona lies under the memorial, a few parts of the ship can still be seen. It is considered a holy area and a grave to those who went down with the ship.

We visited the Panama Canal on one of our cruises. It is a wonder of engineering and connects the Atlantic to the Paciffic. I would encourage any one to take this cruise. It is both educating and relaxing. It also gives you a chance to see some of The Carabeain

This is St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton. Capacity 32,000, and is the home of Southampton F. C.  The Saint's were founded in 1885, and currently are playing in the English first division  They have won The F A Cup once in 1976. Their best finish in the English Premier League. Last season was a bad season they were relegated and went into administration, and were deducted ten points in this current season.
