2008 Dysart Chess Festival

The 2008 Dysart Chess Festival was held Saturday May 17th at Dysart's Norma Anders Public Library. The 12 and under section was won by Dysart's Trevor Krug on tiebreak over Drake Mossman of Buckingham and Trevor's brother Weston. The 13 and over section was won by Marshalltown's Jaleb Jay, who also won the March Dysart tournament. Second through 4th were shared by Chris Johnson of Marshalltown, Andrew Heckroth and Alex Miner (both of Dysart). A blitz playoff was help with Johson winning second and Heckroth third. The tournament was organized and directed by Lee Gordon Seebach, Dysart Chess Club director.
