Christmas 2009 - I had the pleasure of having my friend Brian over for a day in the MAN CAVE.

My fellow Jerseyite ask, "IS A GAMBITEER A POSITONAL PLAYER?"
I believe that all chess players are positional players to some degree. A gambit is played to achieve a position, and an opening that does not offer material is played to achieve a position. I think that the individual chess player should play to his or her own comfort level and ability, but every then and now go outside of your comfort zone. I am not only comfortable playing gambits, but they kinda offer me a sort of psychological boost. I try to balance this by playing with the black pieces hoping for white to play either Ruy Lopez or Queen's Gambit (but not the normal move order).
I just enjoy playing chess!
