Bratislava, Slovakia

Bratislava, capital of Slovakia was, for me, a highlight of the journey.

This picture of Bratislava Castle was taken from the window of my room in the Hotel Danube. In the foreground is a beautiful sculpture-group.  There are many beautiful statues in the streets of Bratislava.  Just beyond the statues, the road from the bridge (to the left) across the Danube.

The bridge across the Danube with it's skewed tower and a restaurant at the top looking like a flying saucer, as seen from the castle.  Unfortunately we did not get time to go to the restaurant.

Passenger boats on the Danube - it maybe look "beautiful blue" on the photo's, but in reality it looks a bit greenish to me!

The buses taking  tourists on  tours through the "old city".  I prefer walking.

St. Martin's Cathedral, a well known landmark.

This statue is called Schoener Naci.  There are many more beautiful statues in the city. And that is how much I can show you if this beautiful city in a few pictures.  I will go back there any time!
