We live in the Dandenongs. It is a National Park where you can find Kangaroos, Wallabies, the elusive Lyrebird, very tall and straight Mountain Ash trees and a wide variey of flowers, shrubs, and other types of trees. The Mount Dandenong Observatory at 633m offers unparalled views of Melbourne City, some 35 km to the west. Forests include Sherbrooke Forest, Olinda Forest and Doongalla Forest. Add to these famous gardens like Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens, National Rhododendron Gardens, William Rickets Santuary and you are only just beginning to appreciate what the Dandenongs have to offer.
