The reason for it is it's against Islamic law to have pictures(I may be wrong but this is how I understood it) So they take words and make pictures out of them, for example http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/exhibitions/eastwest/images/calligraphylion.jpg Now granted that all doesn't mean lion I am still trying to decipher it

cursive isn't that hard and this coming from a boy what 3-4 years younger than you!i learned cursive in 2nd grade and our school says we have to wright in cursive or we FLUNK!

I learned it in 1st at catholic school we would fail the whole year there, than when I trnasfered out to public school everybody was mad at me because I wrote in cursive
