Variations on a theme thanks to good ole MS Paint & Irfanview.

The first one is what I started with.

Sopansadat:

  1. Drawn by using Irfanview to change the 2nd, close-up photo into B/W,
  2. then using a tool in Irfanview to find the edge lines,
  3. bringing brightness down,
  4. then contrast up,
  5. saving it at that point (looks like an outlined phantom of 2nd photo)
  6. bring it into MSPaint, use a fat-point paint-brush tool to go over the faint lines to produce image 3

after that, just playing with those two applications to add color (e.g. sepia), draw in glasses (which I normally wear) or fake background or drop onto cropped images.

Hope that helps.
