Our Beach Buggy...

Submitted by chess_kebabs on Tue, 07/21/2009 at 5:28am.

Hidden away in our neighbour's garage, burried under a big sheet was an old beach buggy.... it wasn't going and looked very rough....

The boys saw it one day and expressed an interest to buy it.... after parting with $1500 it ended up in our driveway....

Have shown a pic now of how it was when they discovered it in our neighbour's garage.... another pic with my son sitting in it during some transformation stage (notice there are no car seats in it at this point) and how it looks now, 5 months later! I think the brakes are next to be redone. They want to buy new wheels, but they will cost $800 and I am looking at them and shaking my head... I keep hearing "we're not going to spend much fixing it up mum"... cough, splutter!

They custom made the chrome add ons you can see + metallic plate on the rear... they bought the rev counter off the net.

I can't believe the shine they managed to get on it... mirror finish. That was a real top job.
