Thanks, electricboogaloo.  At first I thought about putting gussets on the upper base, but it's strong as hell.  Last winter there was about a foot of heavy snow on there.  After doing some math, I figured that there was at least 1000 pounds of snow on there and it didn't budge.

The hot tub is going right next to the kegerlator and flat screen.

the contractor in me wonders whether or not the upper fort needs some angular bracing.  but it looks like you know exactly what you are doing.

where does the hot tub go?

That thing is straight PIMP. Nice Craftmanship there man, throw some wifi out there and a mini refridge and your set.

I started it last August and worked on it for a couple of months until the snow began to fall.  I started phase 2 this past April and pretty much finished it today (there's still some lose ends,,, I want to add a slide to it and do some landscaping around it).  As far as the number of hours, I'd say I spent about 70 hours on it.
