Playing in Washington Square Park!

Submitted by erik on Wed, 10/31/2007 at 1:04pm.

Had a great time in Washington Square Park on Oct 28th, 2007. I went 6.5/9 and had a blast!

Great pics, nice public chess boards too.

Looking forward to playing out doors in downtown Vancouver myself.

Hey erik. Your sunglasses are on the wrong way round. Nice photos though. Is that San Fran?

There's a similar place in Dupont Circle, DC.  There's actually a homeless chess celebrity named Tom Murphy there who is the local champ.  The Washington Post did a huge story in their Magazine section about a month and a half ago.  It was pretty cool.  That very story is what got me going with Chess and eventually, led me to this website!
