EVE Online is a massively multiplayer game. Hundreds of thousands of players compete within a single persistent universe for military, economic and political power. Players explore the suns of New Eden, mine and refine resources, drive the economy, and wage war on one another in a richly detailed virtual world set 35,000 years in the future in a stellar cluster far from Earth.

This summer 2008, CCP will bring EVE into the Empyrean Age. The four major Empires of EVE have broken their long-standing peace and are marshalling their forces for war. The outcome hinges on the actions of the galaxy's immortal pod pilots, allowing players to direct the course of the conflict.

The events of Empyrean Age have been a long time coming, building upon nearly a century of political tension. Access to Jovian technology ushered in the age of the pod pilots and shattered the balance of power, and recent events have sparked a march towards total war.

The events leading to the outbreak of war in New Eden unfold in EVE: The Empyrean Age, the first EVE novel, written by Tony Gonzales and published in the UK by ORION Books.

    Aloha penpal,

Its not for the lighthearted, it never ends! There is risk and your character will die sometimes! There is clone & ship insurance, mining, and training (time) not real training that continues even when your not playing! Just remember to continue to make sure your "In-training ALL the time"! Makes your character stronger, buying insurance (not real funds) to ensure you do not lose training time is important unless you want to start as a Noob every time your "pod" is busted if your opponent chooses to pod as well!

See the link www.eve-online.com/guide/en/ to Players Guide info so your better prepared as you start playing!

So if your looking for WarCraft style of play, well you'll have to go there instead! By the way you get 14 days free so do check it out and remember always in training to strengthen your character, to make money (its called ISK in EVE not real by the way in the real world), mining, doing missions, trading, inventing stuff, and killing NPC pirates and Bounty on other pod pirates - that's pilots that have gone bad on us pod pilots and are "ISK Bounty Wanted"! Also Do NOT shoot first" unless they are real NPC pirates in (.5 to 1.0 security section) otherwise CONCORD (the police of EVE) will blew your ship up no questions asked, but will not pod you. Tongue out

Now if you go to .4  to lower security section in SPACE  (CONCORD does NOT protect pod pilots there) where The Empyrean Age War is going on! You do not go there alone as Warp gate campers (bad pod pilots) will ambush you within seconds and you get podded as well (character killed) and you end up waking up where your clone is in a far away Space Station if you had "clone insurance - you'll have all your training in tact"! So joining a Corporation will be needed although not required! If not, well you''ll be highly disappointed as you will starting all over again with the original training points! Sadly! Cry

So do you have "The Right Stuff" to play EVE On-Line! Cool

    The goal

The ultimate goal in EVE is power.

It can be power over the market, military dominance, financial power, or political power. These are all achievable in EVE at degrees varying from local system, regional level, or even universe-wide.

EVE caters to many different play styles, ranging from the hard core combat commander to the patient miner, and there are corporations that have very different goals; most require all types of players to function properly, so no matter what type of player you are, there is a place for you in EVE, even if you decide to carve it out yourself.

Warning: And watch-out as it could take up your valuable time (your choice), so will need some very good time management habits if your playing chess as well at chess.com and want to have a regular life! Cool

There is a small monthly fee, after the free 14 days, best to pay annually as it lowers the cost!

    Always Training!
