The 5th Annual Mitchell Bedford Memorial was held on November 19th, 2011.

Mitchell Bedford was a fellow who passed away right about the time the Winchester club got started about six years ago. His family donated his chess trophies, a chess clock, and many old Chess Life magazines to our club. He was a doctor in California (where most of his chess trophies was won) who moved back to his hometown here in Winchester in his retirement. Had he lived, I am sure he would have been a chess club regular.
