The Sea Eagle and other birds
I have just made an album, inspired of the informative and nice Great White Egret album by Vince, with pictures of birds and also some other photos I have taken this summer. I have already posted an album for everyone to see but I also make one here with some other pictures of birds and the nature that I have taken. The pics at the end I have already posted in other albums.
The first pictures are from the Birdlake Tåkern in the region of Östergötlands Län in Midsouth Sweden. I had the luck this Summer to take some pictures of a "Havsörn"/ Sea Eagle trying to steal the catch (a fish) from an "Fiskgjuse"/Osprey. It was at some distance but I had the telezoom on and could take some ok shots.
Tåkern is one of the most popular Swedish Birdlakes due to the large surrounding fields (offering local birds and resting ones a lot of food), and the fact that the lake is also very shallow and nutritious. Some years ago up to 50 000 geese rested there every fall on their way to warmer places and maybe I will go there this year taking some pictures of the "Great lift" when almost everyone lift at the same time. Some picture also shows this surroundings with the Horst Omberg in the background, rising up from the Lake Vättern which is a rift. Tåkern is situated on the "Östgötaslätten"/ Field of Östergötland, one of few realy good Swedish agriculture regions.
There is also some pictures of an Osprey from a minor Birdlake called Säbysjön and som mixed nature picture of butterflys and a spider called Korsspindel/Cross Spider, the most venomous spider in Sweden but still not particulary venomous.
