Joe Meek Appreciation Society are outside my house today :)
Joe Meek was born on 5 April 1929 Newent, Gloucestershire and was a record producer and songwriter.
His most famous work was The Tornados' hit "Telstar" (1962) which became the first record by a British group to hit #1 .
Meek's other notable hit productions include "Don't You Rock Me Daddy-O" and "Cumberland Gap" (as engineer), "Johnny Remember Me"
His house is three doors up from where i live :) and every year, the Joe Meek Appreciation Society get together to show off their cars, have tribute evenings and events based around that era.
I've posted a few of the cars that are parked outside my house on show today.
