Dear Friends,

I am going to share some photographs of Late Smt. Renu Srivastava Memorial Open Chess Tournament (2-4 april), 2010 organized by me and my friends Anand Maurya and Prashant Srivastava. It was an open tournament, which was won by 17 years old and very talented player Deepak Katiyar (FIDE Rating-2175).

There were record 46 junior players playing (Total 76 players) in this tournament. since it was the first tournament, which was being organized by me, so it was a great achievement for me. all the junior players, who participated in this tournament, were awarded. Although we had no financer's help, yet we did our best. We spent whole money on the players, specially on junior players.Our aim was to motivate new growing generation. that's why we spent money more than enough. i hope, all of you would like it. hoping for your best comments.

thanks a lot tjbal1950 and other players who watched this album.

I am thinking to organize a FIDE Rated Tournament. That would be very costly. I had asked our U.P. State Chess Association's General Secretary about the fees (FIDE fees + Association's permission + some other expenses). That will take minimum 30 to 35 thousand Rupees. except that The total prize money should be atleast 1.0 lac, so that Titled players (IM and GM) may come. If you really want to help us in that, we would be grateful to you because we can't afford such a big tournament without any financer's help. we really need support from chess lovers like you.
