Five symbolic pictures

Submitted by mauerblume on Wed, 08/13/2008 at 5:00am.

I have chosen five pictures which  represent my life in a symbolic way. I  have called them:

 1. Faith

 2. Chess

 3. Friendship

 4. My "horse"

 5. My Study

Heinrich, As a Christian myself, I completely enjoyed your two very long (83 pp.) narratives. It was a real boost to my own faith to experience through your story the reality of the Christian path of belief.

Such a good story-teller!

Thanks Roger,

for strengthening the faith into my god-given ability. But to tell the truth, I am often not so self-assure according to this. So such an encouragement helps!

Heinrich,

The Biblical picture of the newborn Christian as a new creation in Christ is quite logical and beautiful. We very much need the fellowship of other believers in this world. At first, our nourishment comes from the spiritual milk of the Gospel and later as we become stronger we begin with the meat. The similie is very appropriate to the believer.

When I first "accepted Christ" I was reminded daily of the "new creature in Christ" in the Bible verse II Cor 5:17. Now, as stronger in faith, we understand many more things that makes our faith all the more reasonable and secure. But the Devil prowls about seeking whom to devour so the sharing of our faith is of great importance...God does all the work, we just receive from him by His Grace.
